. . . . .
The cave is open every day from the February half-term to early November. Tours start on the hour, every hour, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (4.00 pm during the winter months). At busier times tours also leave on the half hour. In the winter visits may be made mid-week by appointment. Santa's Grotto operates in the Cave for the three weekends before Christmas Day. The tour takes about 50 minutes.
Adjacent to the Cave entrance is a shop with the usual amenities, selling souvenirs such as guide books and postcards, ice cream, hot and cold drinks, crisps, sweets etc., along with admission tickets for the Cave tours.
Cave admission charges are £6.00 for adults, and £3.00 for children. A family ticket allowing for 2 adults and 2 children is available at the reduced rate of £15.00. Special rates are available for parties. Payment may be made by cash, cheque or card.
The Cave is suitable for only some disabled visitors due to the natural features and slopes within the Cave, and we regret there is no wheelchair access. However, the Cave is suitable for standard size single infant pushchairs and dogs are allowed on a short lead. Slight stooping is necessary in two short areas of the Cave (minimum height 1400 mm, 55 inches), and hard hats are provided which are worn during the tour. The cave is cool, so bring something warm to wear.
