After you have visited Ingleborough Cave, we recommend that you extend your walk for at least another 30 minutes or so through the impressive gorge of Trow Gill and onto the moor, to visit the extraordinary pothole of Gaping Gill where Fell Beck plunges down a 110 metre shaft and is not seen again on the surface until it emerges from Clapham Beck Head alongside Ingleborough Cave. From here the hills open out and there are miles and miles of limestone scenery to explore.

If you are wanting to continue further on from Gaping Gill, then in order to maximise your experience we suggest that you continue your walk and carry out The Limestone Scenery Walk. Either print the map and information package off here or buy one in the cave shop for £2.50. The walk passes past many fine Limestone features, including the famous Norber bolders, the limestone pavements and the aforementioned Trow Gill Gorge and Gaping Gill pothole.
